MOVE Dance Competition brings you a competition with professional and experienced staff, coupled with a format that is unique, fresh, modern and sure to offer you a competition environment like no other.
competition breakdown
Dancers will dance on these days in typical round robin competition style with some differences. The Mini, Junior and the Intermediate (ages 5-11) dancers will dance in the first half of the day followed by the Intermediate and Senior dancers (ages 12-15+) in the second half of the day. Please note that the round robin stage can continue into Day Four under certain circumstances. The top Mini/Junior, Intermediate and Senior Solo, Duet/Trio and Group/Line/Extended Line from each studio will be announced on Day Three or Day Four.
Finalists from each studio will perform on this day! Typically starting with the Mini/Juniors, followed by the Intermediate and Senior Finalists (unless otherwise stated by MOVE). In the end, our panel of judges will decide the MOVE Champions! Winners are placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each of the Mini/Junior, Intermediate and Senior Soloist, Duet/Trio and Group categories.Scholarships are awarded as chosen by our judges.
Adjudicator Choice Awards are announced in the following categories: Choreography Award, Costume Award, Studio Spirit Award, Most Potential Award, The "He Can MOVE Award", The "She Can MOVE Award" and The “You Can MOVE Award”

Novice, Pre-Competitive and Competitive Mini Age Division (ages 5 to 8)
Novice, Pre-Competitive and Competitive Junior Age Division (ages 9 to 11)
Novice, Pre-Competitive and Competitive Intermediate Age Division (ages 12 to 14)
Pre-Competitive and competitive Senior Age Division (ages 15 and up)
